Things to consider before you begin your hire:
Do I need to move the earth to another area?
If so you should consider a dumper. Dumpers will do the same work as 5 men with wheel barrows over any distance over 10mtrs.
can you remove the spoil created buy the excavation work?
A skip will take almost everything except fridges oils and a few other prohibited items, will typically cost £200-£250 for 5CuMtrs, or a grab lorry will remove earth and hardcore only but taking 14CuMtrs at a cost of £250-£280. The grab lorry can also reach over fences from the road and all materials are recycled where possible.
